Visceral manipulation - last free spots

Visceral Manipulation consisting of gentle, specifically placed manual forces that encourage the normal mobility, tone of the viscera, their connective tissue. Almost 40% of patients have an organ as their source of pain, even if they experience common pains such as back, shoulder, hip pain, etc.

Visceral manipulation aims to alleviate pain in the somatic structures that share innervation with the manipulated viscera, reduce adhesions, and enhance the mobility of the viscera and their connective tissue. This technique also activates viscero-somatic reflexes and increases abdominal pressure, which helps to restore normala mobility of viscera and their

Palpation of the abdomen and palpation of organs should be part of the basic and routine examination. Almost 30-40% of pain originates in the organ, but patients complain of common pains such as back, hip, knee, shoulder, etc. However, a problem with an organ rarely appears in the place where the organ is located. A typical manifestation is, for example, pain in the right shoulder and neck, where the liver or gallbladder presents, stomach presents with pain between the shoulder blades, urinary bladder with sacral pain. If a patient comes in with a sore shoulder, for example, it is important to be able to examine whether the pain is coming from an organ. If so, it is necessary to be able to work with the organ and treat it. Otherwise, the shoulder therapy will not be successful and the patient will keep having the pain come back.

A significant proportion of patients suffer from reflux. Properly conducted physiotherapy has up to 80% success rate in reflux therapy. It is therefore very important to know at least the basic maneuvers that will almost always help and relieve the patient from unpleasant burning.

In the course you will learn to understand functional disorders of organs, their chaining, associated joint blockages and trigger points. You will learn several techniques for each organ which will significantly increase your success in therapy.

The course is highly practical and informatively complex, covering neurology, internal medicine, orthopedics, partly psychology and other fields. During the course there is enough time to palpate the organ and surrounding structures, we will spend enough time with each organ.

In order to learn how to palpate and mobilize the organ correctly, we emphasize the personal approach of the lecturer. Therefore, the maximum number of participants is only 14. The lecturer will come to each person and teach them how to work with the organ correctly.

The course is intended for physiotherapists and doctors.

Each part of the course is divided into 2 parts, theoretical and practical.

In order to have more time for practical work, explanation of connections with trigger points, joint blockades, practical demonstrations of therapy, for demonstrations of connections of muscle chains and organ chains, the theoretical part will be in the form of an online webinar, the date of which we will announce later. In person, the course will only include practical work and theoretical information on the organs necessary for practice.

In the theoretical part of the 1st part of the course you will learn:

  • Why should we examine and palpate organs

  • What holds organs in place

  • Mobility, Motility, Motricity

  • Viscerosomatic, somatovisceral reflex

  • Innervation of the organs, Vegetative innervation - sympaticus and parasympaticus

  • Organ-related joint blockades, trigger points, Chapman points, HAZ (Head zones, hyperalgic zones)

  • What are the typical presentations of organ disorders on the musculoskeletal system

  • The role of the diaphragm in gastroesophageal reflux and visceral therapies

  • Pseudovisceral pain - what causes them, presentation, therapy

  • Organ hours

  • The importance of scars in organ disorders

In the practical part of the 1st we will focus on organs and for each you will learn - localization, palpation, manifestation of dysfunction, several mobilization techniques, related trigger points and joint blockades:

  • Stomach

  • Duodenum

  • Liver

  • Gallbladder

  • Sphincters

  • Abdominal drainage

  • Belly button - mobilization and its importance

In the 2nd part of the course you will learn to work with the organs:

  • Small Intestine

  • Large Intestine

  • Sigmoid Loop

  • Peritoneum

  • Kidneys

  • Pancreas

  • Urinary Bladder

  • Ureter

  • Uterus

  • Prostate

  • Pelvic Floor Relaxation Techniques

Why participate in this course?

Visceral manipulation is a therapeutic technique that is thousands of years old. People have long known that pain between the shoulder blades can come from the stomach or pancreas and can radiate to the left side or left shoulder. Visceral manipulation is taught at most Western universities and is a common part of the syllabus. Every osteopathic school teaches visceral manipulation techniques. Our course lecturer Lukáš Kasala first encountered visceral manipulation techniques in his first year of college (2.faculty of medicine, Charles university, Prague) and subsequently in every subsequent year it was part of the study.

Understanding the principles, sequences, techniques, and knowledge of visceral manipulation techniques will significantly increase your effectiveness and success in therapy, which will subsequently bring you new patients and financial profit.

We have been teaching the same course in Slovakia for several years and our colleagues are achieving excellent results in practice. We want physiotherapists in the Baltics to also have excellent results in therapy.

Visceral manipulation is not shamanism or fiction. The techniques are based on strong foundations and principles of neurology, anatomy, biomechanics, kinesiology, internal medicine, reflexology etc. Research in this area is very advanced and many works show that visceral manipulation clearly works.
