Course "Myofascial pain and dysfunction: assessment and therapy: level B", which focuses on myofascial chains, their function and dysfunction in various musculoskeletal pathologies. The myofascial chain is essentially a line of connective tissue that runs through the body. Myofascial chains provide movement and force transmission and help the body move as a single unit. Dysfunction of myofascial chains in any muscle or the entire chain as a whole can cause pain and structural weakness. Understanding myofascial chains allows for a better understanding of injuries and movement limitations.

The practical part includes myofascial treatment techniques based on neurophysiology principles - Reciprocal Inhibition, Post Isometric Relaxation, priniciples of Vojta Reflex locomotion. These neurophysiological techniques works with myofascials chains, its dysfunctions.

Who is this training suitable for?

This training is suitable for physiotherapists who work daily with adult patients with various musculoskeletal problems:

  • pathologies of the musculoskeletal system - joint and muscle diseases; joint and muscle overload; various conditions after surgical treatment; after injuries; postural disorders.

These trainings analyze and treat in detail the muscles that are often forgotten and little talked about, but these muscles play an important role in the human body.

  • For example, the muscles of the shoulder girdle - levator scapulae, subscapularis.

  • Muscles that stabilize the hip joint - Obturator internus et externus; Adductor longus brevis et magnus, Piriformis, Tensor Fascia Latae.

  • An important part of the training is occupied by the muscles that form the deep stabilization system of the spine - diaphragm, multifidus, Iliocostalis cervicis, thoracis, lumborum; Semispinalis capitis et cervicis

  • We will analyze and treat the muscles of the orofacial part - Masseter, Temporalis.
