1-day course: Neurological examination in a physiotherapist's practice
Neurological examination is very important for a physiotherapist and everyone should know the basics. Many nervous system disorders manifest as "common problems". It is not uncommon for a physiotherapist to be the first to detect a serious nervous system problem.

A physiotherapist must be able to perform a neurological examination regardless of specialization. Many neurological disorders initially manifest as common musculoskeletal disorders. Parkinson's as shoulder pain, multiple sclerosis as tingling in the hand, stumbling or weakness of the arm as peripheral paresis, abrasions on the foot as numbness due to diabetes, instability due to a cerebellar disorder, ALS as falling out of the hand,... All of this can occur in a physiotherapist's clinic. And we may be the first to notice a serious problem that is starting to develop. It is not uncommon for such a patient to appear in the clinic. If we detect a disorder or suspect a PNS or CNS disorder, we must immediately refer the patient for further examination to a neurologist.
However, if we do not know how to perform a neurological examination, we not only do not treat the patient, but we also waste precious time, which is the most precious in CNS or PNS disorders.
A quality neurological examination, which will comprehensively tell us what state the patient's nervous system is in, can be completed within 5 minutes. We do not determine the diagnosis. if something seems wrong, we will send to a neurologist for further examination using screening methods. It is only necessary to know where to tap, pull, with what force, etc.
It is also important to have at least a basic understanding of the anatomy of the NS.

Understand the importance of neurological examination in practice
A good feeling from knowing neurological examination
Love neurology
In short, you will learn a quick and comprehensive neurological examination of a patient, from which you will know whether the patient needs further examination by a neurologist or not.
