Assessment of Low Back pain


  • Functional assessment of Lumbar spine, Pelvis, Hip Joint complex; neurological assessment;


  • Kinesiology and biomechanics,  myofascial dysfunctions of Lumbar, Pelvic and Hip Joint Complex;


  • Radiculopathy and pseudoradiculopathy - differential diagnosis, symptomatology and clinical findings.


  • Functional disorders of Lumbar, Pelvic and Hip Joint Complex - joint blockades, myofascial dysfunctions, visceral radiating pain, trigger points radiating pain etc.


  • Kinesiological and functional relationship with weak deep spinal stabilization. The importance of the deep spinal stabilization system.


  • Red flag symptoms.


    Physiotherapy


  • Therapeutic intervention involves exploring a variety of physiotherapy techniques aimed at treating pain in the lumbar spine, pelvis, and hip joint complex. This includes manual therapy techniques, mobilization, and muscle inhibition techniques,  active exercises from the Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) concept.

  • Each technique will be demonstrated, providing practical insights into their application and effectiveness in managing pain and improving mobility in these critical areas.

Day 1, 8:30 – 17:00

8:30 – 9:00 – participant registration

9.00 – 10.30

Theory and practical part – assessment

• Functional assessment of the patient, aspect, lumbar spine, pelvis and hip joint complex – function, functional and anatomical relationships.

• Evaluation of the spine and pelvis – passive and active mobility, passive and active stability, diagnostics of pathologies and dysfunctions. Analysis of clinical findings.

• Functional assessment of the spine – functional tests, muscle function assessment, balance assessment.

• Hip joints – assessment, diagnostics.

10:40 – 12:00

• Functional relationships of the spinal cord, pelvis and hip joints with the function of the lower

extremity – assessment.

• Deep stabilization system of the spine – assessment, tests.

12:00-12:30 Lunch break

12:30 – 17:00 - therapy

• Physiotherapy interventions – therapeutic methods.

• Soft tissue techniques – muscle energy techniques, trigger point ischemia techniques.

• Mobilization techniques – thoracic - lumbar, lumbar, sacral, pelvic, hip

joint.

• Active exercises from the Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) concept.


16:30. – 17:00 Closing session – discussion, questions.
